Following the opening activities, the event moved on to a quiz competition, in which students who answered correctly received carefully prepared gifts from the College of Law. The first section of the quiz focused on knowledge related to the College of Law, such as the founding year of the Graduate Institute of Technology Law and the launch year of the National Chengchi University Law Review. The second section tested knowledge about faculty members, while the third covered fun facts about Christmas traditions around the world. With a wide range of questions, students eagerly raised their hands and actively participated, creating a highly interactive atmosphere. Professors Yu-Zu Tai, Chi-Chou Yeh, and Yuan-Hao Liao also joined in as guest quiz masters, giving every participant a chance to win prizes.
The highlight of the evening was the gift exchange session. Upon entering the venue, each student drew a slip of paper bearing a legal term and was tasked with finding a matching partner based on a corresponding legal concept in order to exchange gifts. Examples included real rights paired with the principle of legality, crime paired with instigation, joint and several liability paired with guarantee, and third party paired with action for rescission. This innovative matching method—combining professional legal knowledge with a festive activity—successfully broke the ice among students from different programs, filling the venue with laughter.
The evening concluded with a special surprise performance, in which Director Chi-Chou Yeh sang “Opening Statement” by Jonathan Lee and “Love Brewed Like Wine” by the Red Ant Choir, showcasing his impressive vocal talent and earning enthusiastic applause. The event came to a warm and joyful close as participants enjoyed a festive meal accompanied by Christmas music and returned home with gifts in hand. The gathering not only helped relieve the stress of final examinations but also strengthened the bonds between faculty and graduate students.
