The College of Law at National Chengchi University (NCCU) held an information session on the Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) LL.M. and Dual Degree Program at the Siou Shui Hall on the fourth floor of the College of Law Building. The event attracted a large audience of faculty members and students eager to learn more about international legal studies opportunities.

Christine Zhou, a representative from QMUL, presented an overview of the university’s Master of Laws (LL.M.) program, introducing its key features, admission requirements, and career prospects. Her talk provided students with valuable insights into pursuing advanced legal studies in the United Kingdom.

During the session, Ms. Zhou highlighted QMUL’s prime location in central London—close to major international law firms and courts—which provides students with abundant practical and networking opportunities. The LL.M. program offers two study tracks with a highly flexible credit system, allowing students to select specialized subjects according to their interests while combining theoretical learning with practical training.

QMUL also places great emphasis on career development and support services. The Legal Mentoring Scheme pairs students with experienced legal professionals, while qLegal, the university’s legal clinic, enables students to gain hands-on experience by offering legal assistance to underserved communities. Although English proficiency is required for admission, QMUL provides comprehensive language support through Pre-sessional English courses before enrollment and In-sessional Language Classes during the semester, helping students continually improve their academic English skills.

Regarding tuition, the LL.M. program costs £31,500, with a 10% tuition discount available through the university’s scholarship scheme. Upon graduation, students may also take advantage of the UK’s Graduate Visa, which allows them to remain in the country for up to two years to gain practical legal experience and expand their international career horizons.

Through this session, attendees gained a clearer understanding of QMUL’s LL.M. and dual degree programs. Many students expressed strong interest, noting the university’s exceptional academic reputation, strategic location, and rich practical learning opportunities—making it an ideal choice for those aspiring to advance in the field of law and pursue careers on the global stage.
