On December 16th, the College of Law at National Chengchi University held a warm and joyful Christmas cultural exchange event, specially inviting two exchange students—Eunice Chong from Singapore Management University and Emily Hurley from the University of Maryland, as well as Vice Dean Daisy Dai Yuru and foreign degree students hosted by the Office of International Cooperation—such as Laura Celina Fischer from Mannheim University in Germany, to join in the festivities and engage in cultural exchange with the students.

The event began with everyone gradually getting to know each other while decorating the Christmas tree together. Emily excitedly shared, "Christmas is very important to us. Our family gathers together to enjoy a big meal, exchange gifts, and spend quality time together!" Eunice also added, "We also decorate a Christmas tree at home, and it looks just like this one!" Additionally, Professor Dai thoughtfully prepared traditional German Christmas treats—gingerbread and fruit bread, making Laura from Germany excitedly exclaim, "This is the taste of a German Christmas!"

Next, the students participated in another fun activity—making gingerbread houses! From mixing icing to assembling cookies and decorating with creativity, each student crafted their own unique gingerbread house. Emily laughed, "Every year, I decorate the Christmas tree and make gingerbread houses with my family. My little pleasure is sneaking some frosting while making them!" Although there were some small challenges during the process, everyone helped each other, and in the end, everyone completed their creations with a great sense of accomplishment.

This Christmas event not only strengthened the friendships among the students and exchange students but also deepened their understanding and experience of diverse cultures. In the future, the College of Law will continue to organize more such activities, creating a more diverse and open learning environment, allowing each student to grow through exchange and create wonderful memories together.
